William (Bill) Reynolds It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of one of our Parkdale Flames fore-founders, William Reynolds

William (Bill) Reynolds passed away peacefully at the St.Josephs Health Centre, Toronto on July 10th, 2020. He was the devoted husband of his wife May, loving father of their 4 children and proud Poppa of his grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

Bill joined McCormick House League in 1975 after being a coach’s helper on his son’s teams. He served as a volunteer on the McCormick’s board of Management for thirty years. Bill’s main objective had always been to keep hockey affordable for area resident families.

The William Reynolds Hockey Tournament, was dedicated to Bill by his fellow board members for his years of excellent service. It had originally started as a family skate-a- thon which grew into the tournament that we still celebrate today, The Parkdale Flames William Reynolds Hockey Tournament. Since the tournament is always close to Christmas, it has often been referred to as the William Reynolds Christmas Hockey Tournament. In years past, we have always managed to have Bill attend the tournament for trophy presentations even long after his grandsons have played for Parkdale Flames. Bill always liked to see the kids enjoying themselves while playing the sport he loved.

Bill was a lovely man and was greatly respected by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed by us all.
